Ye gods, that's the first time I have seen anyone DEMANDING hell with
the installation.. Newbies nowadays ;-)
AFAIK, it should `just work'. I think it did with my gf's laptop anyway.
Have you added yourself to the audio group (and logged out/back in again
afterwards)?
