Just out of curiosity, do this chip actually work using the trident
driver?
  I have an acer632lc which use the ali5451 chip, and while trying to
get it to work I run into some page claiming that although the trident
driver was supposed to work it didn't, one had to use alsa (which I got
working fine btw) instead.
