RE: high cpu usage when playing mp3's



mpg321 alone ,uses +- 90% cpu time ,the other actives process ( 2 or 3)
use the rest of the cpu time .

PS : I am using a 2.4.18 kernel compiled by myself and my soundcard is (
according toshiba ) a sb 16 with an ess688 chipset.
