I have a HP OmniBook XE3, and debian woody+2.4.18 kernel are instaled. The
   apm's suspend event dont work:

   motilla:~# apm -s
   apm: Input/output error
   motilla:~#

How to make apm and sleep event work???

This is the same problem as Bug#142940. We haven't yet figured out
why it's happening for some people. The person who reported the bug
seems to be having a problem with the kernel rejecting the suspend
request.

Can you please send the relevant log entries for a suspend event?
Include anything from apmd or from the kernel's apm subsystem. Also,
any entries from pcmcia.

Are you using a custom kernel, or the standard Debian kernel?

Chris
