Where are you seeing that it's obsolete?

Usually, "obsolete" just means that it disappeared from the archive for
some reason.

In this case, my guess would be that they're moving crypto stuff from
non-US to main, and it's disappeared from non-US, but hasn't appeared in
main yet since you're using testing.  It'll probably be back in a couple
weeks or so.
