I find the schemes feature of pcmcia cardctl a simple method of dealing with various networks. You enter the data for each network under its own heading in /etc/pcmcia/network.opts (it was mentioned recently that pcnetconfig is a handy tool for doing this). Then, to switch between networks, you just type (as root) cardctl scheme net1 where net1 is the name you gave for that scheme. Note, I sometimes find when I do this, that I get a "network is busy" error, especially if I suspend and resume in between. I guess the computer is trying to contact the old network, which isn't there (I have /etc/apm set up to "eject" the card on suspend, but I still get the problem most of the time). In this case I just pop the pcmcia card out for a second, change the scheme, and pop the card back in, and it continues working fine with the new network. Hope that helps.
