apt-get upgrade brakes X on vaio...

Actuly it seems to have broken xkbcomp and xrdb...or something in
there source files...i cant find it if so. The symptom is that, X comes
up...puts up the login box, I login, am returned to the login box. Below
are the only errors i can find.

System: `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/xkbcomp -w 1 -R/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb -xkm -m us -em1 "The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports:" -emp "> " -eml "Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server" keymap/xfree86 compiled/xfree86.xkm'
:24: `#else' not within a conditional
:27: unbalanced `#endif'
/usr/X11R6/bin/xrdb: colon missing on line 19, ignoring line

I am running KDE...however the result is the same wether KDM is
enabled of not.
This started after running apt-get ugrade agenst stable this
morning...the only thing i can see in what was upgraded that could have
effected this was termcap-compat...but i realy cant make a case for it....
	Any clues?
jeff
