While we're at it, sending a single PO file in a tarball doesn't make much sense. Compressing the file doesn't also make much sense now. In the past, this was convenient to circumvent encoding problems with broken MUA, but these days are over now. I really suggest sending PO files with the exact name they should be used under, so in your case "ru.po".
