Re: [Back In Time] request to update translations before upcoming release
Hello Ghiunhan Mamut,
thank you for your reply and your effort to contribute to the
translation of Back In Time.

Romanian...Is there a process to do it properly?
Technically the process is quite easy because we do offer web based
translation platform. You don't need any extra software or knowledge
about the underlying translation system (GNU gettext).
First please create an account at https://codeberg.org .
With this account you can logging into https://translate.codeberg.org
and start here:
https://translate.codeberg.org/projects/backintime/common/ro
For most of the strings you will have a screenshot (bottom right) to see
where this string is used in the GUI.
Some strings have placeholder like variable names in it like this two
examples:
Restore {path} to ...
{BOLD}Warning{BOLDEND}: bla bla
Do not translate the variable names between the curley brackets { }.
There is also a comment section for each string. If you think the
original English source string doesn't make much sense or could be
formulated easier just mention it there.
Is there any deadline?
Not for real. We are grateful for every translator offering their spare
time.
But we will prepare a new release round about next week.
Don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks in advance,
Christian Buhtz
