How does that interfere with what we have in th current br-abnt2
keymap:

keycode 89 = slash question degree questiondown

Your proposal would replace that line. My question is: what about
*adding* it? "keycode 97" is currently not affected in br-abnt2

In short, my proposal is changing the current br-abnt2 into the
attached keymap instead of adding yet another keymap.

The point is: would that break br-abnt2 on "standard" keyboards?

CC'ing debian-l10n-portuguese (pt_BR translators) who will probably
have interesting comments. If answering, please keep both the bug
number, Rafael and the list CC'ed (not me, I'll get answers through
the BTS).
