Dúvida na tradução de 'DFSG-free' (Era: Fwd: question in package description)

Gente,

Eu mandei um e-mail para o mantenedor do pacote ttf-kochi-mincho a
respeito da expressão DFSG-free, que eu achei que estava errada e
devia ser DFSG-compliant. Seguem a minha mensagem e a resposta dele. O
que acham?

I didn't consider the 'DFSG-free' term until now.
I checked 'DFSG-free' vs 'DFSG-compliant' using the following script:

       apt-cache show `apt-cache search dfsg | awk '{print $1}' | xargs` |\
       egrep -i 'Package:|dfsg'

The result showed:

  DFSG-free: 15 packages

       amavis-ng, chasen-cannadic, classpath, classpath-common,
       classpath-common-unzipped, classpath-doc, classpath-gtkpeer,
       classpath-qtpeer, gs-common, jikes-classpath, nagios-images,
       ttf-bitstream-vera, ttf-kochi-gothic, ttf-kochi-mincho, os8

  DFSG-compliant: 2 packages

       freepats, xfonts-cmex-big5p,

I sometimes saw `DFSG-free' in Debian developer's lists - so I think
this word has been accepted in Debian community.  But I'm not native
speaker, I'd like to hear your opinion.
