Description: Should the ethertap devices be created?
Diald needs a "fake" interface for the system to use when the dialup
link is down. The "ethertap" device is preferred for this, as it was
designed for this purpose. If ethertap is not available, the system
sets up a fake SLIP connection (the precursor to PPP) to accomplish
this.

Ethertap devices, however, are not shipped with Debian by default.
They can be created for you as part of this package installation. It
is optional, but highly recommended.

O Diald precisa de uma interface "falsa" para o sistema utilizar quando
um link dialup é estabelecido. O dispositivo "ethertap" é o preferido
para isto, pois foi desenvolvido para este propósito. Caso o ethertap
não esteja disponível, o sistema configura uma conexão SLIP (o precursor
do PPP) falsa para cumprir este tarefa.

Dispositivos ethertap, porém, não são oferecidos com o Debian por padrão.
Eles podem ser criados para você como parte da instalação deste pacote.

Description: Should diald use the standard default IP addresses?
When setting up a connection, diald requires that an IP address be
configured for both the local and remote sides, even if they aren't
initially known. If a pppconfig entry assumes that they will be
autoconfigured, diald will set these to the default IP addresses
192.168.0.1 (local) and 192.168.0.2 (remote) initially, and pick
up the proper values after the first connection is made.

If you use the 192.168.0.x network, however, this could cause this
network to be unreachable for a short time after diald is started.
If this is the case, you should pick two other IP addresses that
aren't in use. Ranges from the private IP address ranges
(192.168.x.x, 172.16.x.x, and 10.x.x.x) are good candidates.
Description-pt_BR: O diald deve utilizar o endereço IP padrão ?
Quando configurando uma conexão, o diald requer que um endereço IP
seja configurado para ambos os lados, local e remoto, mesmo se os
mesmo não são inicialmente conhecidos. Se uma entrada do pppconfig
assumir que eles serão autoconfigurados, o diald irá definí-los para
os endereços IP padrão 192.168.0.1 (local) e 192.168.0.2 (remoto)
incialmente e escolher o valores apropriados depois que a primeira
conexão é feita.

Se você usa a rede 192.168.0.x, porém, isso pode fazer com que sua rede
esteja inatingível por um curto período de tempo depois que o diald é
iniciado. Se este é seu caso, você deverá escolher dois outros endreços
IP que não estão em uso. Faixas de endereços IPs privados (192.168.x.x,
172.16.x.x e 10.x.x.x) são bons candidatos.
