window manager

Hi, I use gnome, and the default windows manager is metacity

on my pc metacity crushed and the use gnome I have removed it, but I 
have problem eith the windows

I have re-install it

how can I configure gnome to have the metacity as the default window 
manager?

can I use other window manager like "black box " for gnome???
