Fw: Bug#1069228: date: -I argument values themselves should not be translated
Bonjour,
Je ne suis pas tellement à jour avec les traductions des pages de
manuel, mais le bogue suivant a été rapporté contre le paquet
manpages-fr.
Est-ce que Jean-Philippe ou quelqu'un d'autre veut bien s'en occuper et
fermer le bogue (peut être qu'un « Close: #1069228 » dans le
message de commit suffit ?).
Merci d'avance, et encore merci à tous pour votre boulot sur toutes ces
pages de manuel.

Dear Maintainer,
The French translation of the date(1) manpage is not very usable when
it comes to the `-I` option, as the option's accepted arguments are
translated, whereas `date` itself only accepts specific untranslated
values.
The manual reads:
> afficher la date et l'heure au format ISO 8601. FMT=« date » pour la
> date seulement (par défaut), « heures », « minutes », « secondes » ou
> « nanosecondes » pour la date et l'heure selon la précision indiquée.
> Exemple : 2006-08-14T02:34:56-06:00
which suggets that e.g. "secondes" or "nanosecondes" are acceptable
arguments, but they are not: if you check the C version (man -LC date)
you'll see that those should actually be spelled "seconds" (easy
enough) and "ns" (a lot harder to infer).
The translation should probably rather read something like:
> […] FMT="date" pour la date seule (par défaut), "hours" pour une
> précision à l'heure, "minutes" pour une précision à la minute,
> "seconds" pour une précision à la seconde et "ns" pour une précision
> à la nanoseconde. […]
or another variation of this, maybe:
> […] FMT="date" pour la date seule (par défaut), "hours", "minutes",
> "seconds" ou "ns" pour la date et l'heure avec une précision
> respectivement à l'heure, la minute, la seconde ou la nanoseconde.
> […]
…or whichever other wording you see fit, so long as it still includes
the actual values the -I option accepts.
