[TAF] wml://users/{edu/iaeste,gov/lhsc,gov/sjhc,org/re-ware}.wml

Bonjour,

[ITT] wml://users/edu/iaeste.wml
[ITT] wml://users/gov/lhsc.wml
[ITT] wml://users/gov/sjhc.wml
[ITT] wml://users/org/re-ware.wml

Amicalement,
Thomas

We use Debian on 9 production servers and around 15 development/integration
servers. The IT department of IAESTE Czech Republic is responsible for
maintenance and development of organization-specific intranet solutions,
e-mail and file sharing services. There are about 150 active intranet
accounts used by volunteers and employees of IAESTE CR. We also host around
40 public websites/microsites dedicated to various projects of IAESTE CR and
    associated organizations.

Debian was chosen for universality, ease of maintenance, stability and good
    community support.

We use Debian Linux servers for all of our Linux based servers that don't
have commercial vendor requirements. Including but not limited to web
servers, DNS servers, DHCP servers, Samba file servers and java application
    servers.

The reason we use Debian over competing Linux distributions is due to the
high quality of the Debian operating system, the speed in which Debian
releases security updates and the freedom to not have to manage software
licenses on our Linux servers. With commercial distributions we find we
spend more time managing licenses than managing servers.

Reware Soc. Coop - Impresa Sociale, is a small not for profit cooperative
that sells refurbished computers. Three of its four workers use Debian on
their client for common tasks, and, of course, the server is Debian based.
Reware owns a shop where it sells refurbished computers with Debian,
    Ubuntu and, rarely, proprietary OSs.

The choice of Free Software is due to the fact that it fits with the strong
ethical, social and environmental commitment of the founders and workers of
the organizzation. Not least is important, in the field of environmentally
oriented motivations, to underline the low system requirements of such an
OS, that help to extend the life cycle of electronic goods, reducing in such
a way its environmental impact, by postponing the moment when it becomes
    waste.
