Oui, mais mlocate ne distribue pas de page de manuel en français.
Ce n'est pas normal non plus que
/usr/share/man/fr/man1/updatedb.findutils.1.gz soit utilisé quand tu fais
un "man updatedb".
Est-ce que tu peux aussi regarder ce qu'indique:
ls -l /usr/share/man/fr/man1/updatedb.1.gz /usr/share/man/man1/updatedb.1.gz
