<toc-add-entry name="debconf">DebConf13 will have its DebCamp</toc-add-entry>

<p>
When the DebConf team
<a href="http://blog.debconf.org/blog/debconf13/ma_dc13_venue_and_dates.dc";>announced
the official dates and place for DebConf13</a>, there was much incertitude whether
a DebCamp could be organized for budget reasons.

The DebConf team just <a href="http://blog.debconf.org/blog/debconf13/dr_dc13_debcamp_and_reconfirmation.dc";>announced</a> that DebConf13 will have its DebCamp, which will last for almost a full week, starting from August 6, at the main conference venue.
</p>

<p>
If you plan to go to DebConf13, you have until June, 30 to
<a href="http://lists.debconf.org/lurker/message/20130619.142526.7e2cb16b.en.html";>reconfirm</a>
your attendance and thus validate your registration.

<toc-add-entry name="codesearch">Debian Code Search on video</toc-add-entry>

<p>
Debian Code Search is a search engine for source code distributed by
Debian, written by Michael Stapelberg, which can be used from
codesearch.debian.net.
Michael Stapelberg
<a href="http://people.debian.org/~stapelberg//2013/06/17/debian-code-search-talk.html";>  wrote
on his blog</a> that the video of the talk he gave at GPN13 about Debian
Code Search is
<a href="http://ftp.ccc.de/events/gpn/gpn13/gpn13-debian-code-search.mp4";>available</a>.
He explains the motivation behind this project and how the code works.
The talk is in German, but Michael created
<a href="http://t.zekjur.net/gpn13-debian-code-search.srt";>English subtitles</a>, so that more people can enjoy the video.

<toc-add-entry name="dsasprint">Bits from Debian System Administators</toc-add-entry>

<p>
Peter Palfrader sent a
<a href="http://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2013/06/msg00164.html";>report
of the DSA team sprint</a>, which took place recently in LinuxHotel,
Essen, Germany.

During this meeting, Debian system administrators discussed among other
things the progress of the migration of services from physical to
virtual machines, the deployment of a content delivery network for
static data served by webservers and experiment with other CDNs, the
theoretical authentication of alioth users via Debian's single sign on
server and a wish list of a future configuration management system.
They listed the points of contact for the DSA team and and
their current guidelines.

The DSA team thanks the Electrical &amp; Computer Engineering and
Information Technology departments of the University of
British Columbia, and the LinuxHotel who made this meeting possible.
