Bug#697656: Please rewrite package description boilerplate

Package: src:libgupnp-av-1.0-2
Version: 0.10.3-1
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: debian-l10n-english@lists.debian.org

Dear Maintainers,
the package descriptions of the *gupnp-av* packages (1) were a little bit hard
to understand for me. My main concern is the boilerplate as used in (2):

     Description: Audio/Visual utility library for GUPnP
An audio/visual utility library for GUPnP, providing DIDL parser/writer
      and search criteria parser objects.

I'd rather seen an explanation of GUPnp and GUPnP-AV (3):

    GUPnP is an elegant, object-oriented open source framework for creating
UPnP devices and control points, written in C using GObject and libsoup.
    The GUPnP API is intended to be easy to use, efficient and flexible. It
    provides the same set of features as libupnp, but shields the developer
    from most of UPnP's internals.
    …
    GUPnP-AV is a collection of helpers for building AV (audio/video)
    applications using GUPnP.

Perhaps it is not really necessary for the average installer to know what DIDL
may stand for (4): MPEG-21 Part 2: Digital Item Declaration Language (DIDL)

There is already description boilerplate for GUPnP in the gupnp-tools
package (5):

    GUPnP is an object-oriented open source framework for creating UPnP
    devices and control points, written in C using GObject and libsoup. The
    GUPnP API is intended to be easy to use, efficient and flexible.

What do you think about the following proposal?

Description: audio/video utility library for GUPnP
GUPnP is an object-oriented open source framework for creating UPnP devices and control points, written in C using GObject and libsoup. The GUPnP API is
 intended to be easy to use, efficient and flexible.
 .
 GUPnP-AV is a collection of helpers for building audio/video applications
 using GUPnP.

Kind regards,
   Martin
