Chris is right that "try again to [do X]" is subtly awkward, but his
suggested alternative "try and [do X] again" has the drawback of
involving "try and" - an English idiom that styleguides discourage in
formal writing.
A second obvious option is "try to [do X] again", but this just draws
attention to a potential ambiguity (in both "try to" and "try and"
versions): is it a repeated attempt, or an attempt to repeat?
If at first you don't succeed... we could go with the third option of
"retry [doing X]". Yes, that one's growing on me - patch attached.
I've also fixed an unrelated typo in cdrom-detect/cdrom_module:
s/a unusual/an unusual/.
