request for review ITP for guidata and guiqwt

Before sending an ITP for thoses two softwares, I would like a review from you.
That way it will be consitant.
So here the short description and long description of the two packages as provided by the upstream author.
It is always interesting to have the point of view of strangers ;), thanks.
