I like this one. :-)

Is it ok to remove the "thereof"? Just
"This is a program ... terminal (or emulator)."

I think "escape sequence handling" is correct, but it is ok to remove
the "handling".
I planed to use those listed below if nobody reject it:
====================================================================
Short description: tool for testing VT100 compatibility of terminals
Long description:
This is a program designed to test the functionality of a VT100
terminal (or emulator). Analysis of VT220, VT420, and xterm are also
provided.
.
The program is menu-driven and contains full on-line operating
instructions. It tests both display (escape sequence) and keyboard
handling.

Thanks to Justin.
