"A software" and other uses that treat it as a countable noun
parallel to _logiciel_ are obvious Frenglish. Here, thanks to the
article-dropping rule, it's ambiguous whether the package
description is talking about "a software" or "(some) software".

If it's the latter, it's not Frenglish, but being made of software
isn't something that distinguishes this package from 30,000 others.
