Quoting Alessandro De Zorzi (lota@nonlontano.it): > thanks for your useful suggestions, I will working about in next days > to improve templates and control files Thanks. However, please don't do it too fast as it may duplicate work with the work of the -l10n-english team. If you have other priorities (or debconf templates changes planned), of course we can talk about them to avoid interfering. We're currently in the review process: I proposed changes, and ppl in debian-l10n-english will amend/comment them. The next step, in a few days (8), will be a "Last Chance For comments" mail, from my with you (indeed phamm@p.d.o) CC'ed. Then, 2-3 days later, you'll receive a bug report summarizing all our proposals. That bug should be the real start for reworking the templates and control file, indeed. But, still, it is suggested to not upload the changes immediately: A few days after you receive the bug report, I'll start the second phase of that work: the translation update round, where all translators of debconf tempaltes will be notified so that they can update their translations (additionnally, a call for new translations will be posted). The translation update round lasts for about 2 weeks (translators need time) and, very finally, you'll receive a very final patch with all changes. In short: this is a long process (about 40 *days* from the initial "intent to review" mail down to the final patch mail) which the maintainer is suggested to follow by reading the important mails (s)he receives, and of course comment them if needed.
