Re: saving cheatcodes

Thank you Wolfgang,

you put me in the right direction, I realized I had no syslinux.cfg because I just copied the ISO file with dd on my usb key, while it is recommended here (http://knopper.net/knoppix/knoppix810-en.html) to use flash-knoppix.

I'll try that way and let you know.

Anyhow, thank you all for your help, a very friendly mailing list for my first post !

Denis

Hello,

I'm just facing one problem with Knoppix 8.1 which I installed on an
USB key.

I'd like not to have to type the cheatcodes (lang=fr utc desktop=...)
each time I boot.

Is there any way to make them permanent ? I tried to modify
isolinux.cfg, but it's readonly.

After installing Knoppix to a flash drive, look for a directory called
"boot/syslinux". There you will find a file named "syslinux.cfg". You
can insert the desired options there.

I'm not sure what happens if you try this while you are actually using
the USB-Knoppix, so better plug the drive into another system to edit
this file.

Wolfgang
