Knoppix mounts my ext2 filesystem as type ext4 (6.7.0)

Dear Klaus,

I copied Knoppix 6.7.0 to a bootable ext2 partition, and booted
successfully, but mount listed the filesystem type mounted on /mnt-system
as ext4 (and with some options I do not recognize).  I am unfamiliar with
the differences between ext2 and ext4, and am concerned that this might
result in data corruption.

Do you have any thoughts or suggestions?
