Thanks for he report. Unfortunately, KERNEL bootoptions are nothing that
can be set "on-demand", afer the kernel has started. Some boards may
REQUIRE apic, some don't. So, it looks like we have to live with having
to type that bootoption for this computer. :-(
Maybe a BIOS update would help, too, but thats pure speculation.
