At this time I could not find how to mount and use a persistent-
home by hand,
could someone give some tips to be able to do this when autodetect
fails
or when we don't validate its use at boot ?
I've found it: knoppix-image knoppix.img
Please forgive me for noise.
That's not noise, but rather a very good question. Just so that you
are aware, "knoppix-image knoppix.img" is not the same as when you
boot and the /etc/init.d/knoppix-auto* script mounts the
knoppix.img. For example, the knoppix.img could start some services
in a particular runlevel. Those will not be run if you mount the
knoppix.img by hand.
Can you be more specific about the cases you have experienced when
the autodetect fails for you?
