Knoppix is a variant of Debian, and Debian is an implementation of Linux. If 
you study Linux then you will be well on the way to understanding Knoppix. 

Knoppix works mainly in memory and retreives software from a CDR disk. 
Hence "disk scheduling algorithms" are largely irrelevant.
