Some ralink wireless chipset(s) don't like DHCP request at boot time, you should try to specify nodhcp cheatcode.
So you may try some cheatcodes like: knoppix xmodule=vesa screen=1280x800 xvrefresh=60 nodhcpShared memory should not block X start but could give you a small resolution (ex: 800x600), try increase memory size for graphic chip in your BIOS (1M to 8M or more if available).
