Heads up: mptscsih split in 2.6.13
Hi. First post to the list, I'll eventually explain my project and
reason for being here, but first I have a heads-up for when you move
from 2.6.12 to 2.6.13. The LSI Fusion driver (mptscsih, widely used, in
particular VMware disks) has an added abstraction layer in 2.6.13. It
now goes mptbase -> mptscsih -> (mptspi, mptlan, mptfc), for SCSI, LAN
and Fiber Channel, respectively. /usr/share/hwdata/pcitable will have
to be modified to change:
* "LSI Logic / Symbios Logic|FCnnnn" from "mptscsih" to "mptfc"
* "LSI Logic / Symbios Logic|FCnnnn LAN" from "mptscsih" to "mptlan"
* All other occurences of "mptscsih" to "mptspi"
linuxrc on the initrd will probably also need to be changed from
"mptscsih" to "mptspi", though I'm not sure since I don't have a
physical Fusion controller to test SCSI CD booting from.
