LG LW-60 (laptop)

Hi, i have said laptop and i've tried knoppix 4.0.2 so far.

The in-kernel "marvell" ethernet driver doesnt recognize my card, can you please use the patch from the manufacturer?

The pcmcia controller needs especial attention when you run the bootscripts (otherwise machine hangs).

The sound card driver also needs to be updated (it's a CMI + Intel HDA).

This guy documented what sort of drivers need to be used to get debian running (he's got the same model)

http://www.progsoc.uts.edu.au/~rheise/LW60/

basically we need

* sk98lin from the manufacturer
* snd-azx from a new alsa distro
* to remove the "include port 0x800-0x8ff" line from /etc/pcmcia/config.opts

Please consider those changes for the new knoppix 4.1, BTW: when is it due?

Thanks, Knoppix is way cool!
