Hi,
no its not as good as Knoppix-Customize and more a bad though working hack.
Think you just want to change one thing in the cheatcodes iso file and you do
not have the space to extract and recompress everything.
I hacked up isoinfo to be able to not only extract files, but to also replace
(equally sized!) files inside the ISO-image.
You can find the patch and a binary here:
http://debian.tu-bs.de/knoppix/experiments/iso-customize/
It should be impossible to destroy ISO files that way, as the replaced data is
always equally sized.
Ok, now on for an example:
./isoinfo -i test.iso -J -x /boot/isolinux/boot.msg > boot.msg
vi boot.msg
./isoinfo -i test.iso -J -r /boot/isolinux/boot.msg < boot.msg
Does work quite perfect.
Anyone willing to make a cheatcode editor GUI ? ;-)
cu
Fabian
PS: Klaus would you take a binary only package? - isoinfo can just be build
from the cdrtools source, which has quite some dependencies.
PPS: What name should we choose. isoinfo does not really fit anymore.
