[debian-knoppix] cloop problem

Hi,

I am having trouble insmod cloop.o.

I am running Debian Woddy, kernel 2.4.22, tried both cloop-1.02 and cloop-2.01. The module cloop.o compiles fine but when I do depmod, I get:

depmod: *** Unresolved symbols in /lib/modules/2.4.22fb-tna/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o

and if I do insmod cloop, I get:

Using /lib/modules/2.4.22fb-tna/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o
/lib/modules/2.4.22fb-tna/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o: unresolved symbol zlib_inflate_workspacesize_Rce5ac24f /lib/modules/2.4.22fb-tna/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o: unresolved symbol zlib_inflateEnd_R9ef45f92 /lib/modules/2.4.22fb-tna/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o: unresolved symbol zlib_inflate_R64cf8602 /lib/modules/2.4.22fb-tna/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o: unresolved symbol zlib_inflateInit__R456e911d /lib/modules/2.4.22fb-tna/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o: unresolved symbol ntohl /lib/modules/2.4.22fb-tna/kernel/drivers/block/cloop.o: unresolved symbol zlib_inflateReset_Ref76d642

I have compiled in zlib_decompression_support, also tried to compile in zlib_decompression_support & zlib_compression_support, and if I just compile with zlib_compression_support the module won't even compile.

any ideas,
