Re: Acer Travelmate 243FX and Knoppix 3.6/3.7

Thanks for all the suggestions. Today I had time only for a quick test
and I managed to boot Knoppix. However, I was unable to use beamer,
which may or may not be related to Knoppix. I will make more tests
next week.

As this worked for me:

        knoppix26 acpi=off noapic pci=bios

I didn't yet make additional tests.

My first experiments were rather chaotic, but it seems that I always
get blank screen with the default kernel.

BTW, is `acpi=off' different from `noacpi'?

It was one of my first tries, bit it didn't work.

Thanks again for your help.
