[debian-knoppix] Re: Software recommendations for LinuxTag DVD edition?

Hi folks,
I'd really recommend KDE-Cygwin 3.11 . It runs fine- a bit sluggish, but not
too annoying, and very useful. For the people in our LAN I have downloaded
Cygwin packages for a good base of GNU/Win32 stuff including everything needed
for KDE-Cygwin, and of course, that itself. And it just works. And doh, it's
cool, konqueror and kate under windooze..
And I can upload it whereever you want, Mr. Knopper, so tell me. I think
it's about a hundred meg..

And, I have no idea of the Debian package system, but people here say it is
possible to make a debian package from source so no problem- I'd propose
Slicker. It is astonishing how far they got in that short time, it is really
useful already.
And, I hope Squaroid finds its way back into Knoppix :) (Someone should do a
KSquaroid.. mmh maybe when I have some time in autumn.. )
Oh, and Xbill, what about xbill? is it in already?

Another thing: You might just get more of these Knoppix DVDs pressed,
probably with another label, and sell them to a self cost price online because, as
I see it, probably some more people would indeed want to have it.. make it a
limited edition of 250 or so =:)
(Otherwise you'd really force me to come to Karlsruhe to get one...)

Oh very important, http://www.xpde.com/builds.php (only sources). XPDe has
made a lot of progress recently. It is a nifty thing to have on Knoppix I
would believe. It's about giving people choices %)

If Debian packages must be available to you, someone tell me how to create
them with my Gentoo or Mandrake and I'll do that.

So long.
