[debian-knoppix] KNOPPIX 3.2 and a direct DHCP

Hey Group:

I have KNOPPIX 3.2 from around March this year.

I took it to a true DHCP site last night and as normal KNOPPIX booted right up and looks great. At the browser "Goto" line I typed in www.google.com and got a error "URL not found". IP#s worked!

A check of /etc/resolv.conf (which is a non writable link to the CD) was not set with a name server. I erased it "rm /etc/resolv.conf and set it with a good name server and it worked.

To this it might be best left as a file and not linked to the CD.
That way DHCP should correctly write it.
