It does not uninstall the Knoppix tools, it only removes the menu
entries, because they won't work when started by the knoppix user.
The installer removes the knoppix user from /etc/sudoers for security
reasons. You still can run the Knoppix tools, but you have to log in as
root or use the su command. Once you have root privileges, you can run
hwsetup, mkxf86config, netcardconfig, cupsconfig...

At least one of the older versions of knx-hdinstall was patched by
Klaus so it really removed the Knoppix tools, but 0.35 and later
versions will leave the tools installed.
