Hi

Things begin with /etc/init.d/rcS

In the CD, you have a wondefull S00-Knoppix-autoconfig which does mostly 
all the magic of knoppix
But once installed, this script is not used anymore (AFAIK).

And you also have to tune the boot-floppy image to your needs.
