RE: [debian-knoppix] Q : Knoppix update?

Stuff to delete ... Well ... For me, given that you have OpenOffice, I don't
really see a need for Koffice. I usually delete the games, Kstars and Kgeo
before I load stuff. And since I'm a KDE fan, I can do without Gnome, all of
the other GUIs, window managers, desktops, low-level X windows tools like
the clock, etc. I'm sure if you take a poll, you'd find wide disagreement.

What to add? More than anything else, I'd like to see kernel source and
"make-kpkg", a remastering toolkit and jigdo (Jigsaw Download) support. That
way, those of us who still have dial-up only could rebuild our own releases
easily. I'm still buying CDs and downloading .debs at 2.7 kilobytes per
second while I'm asleep and at work. :) I've *never* downloaded a full .iso.

By the way ... I'm currently running a hard-disk installed 3.3 / 2003-11-19
Knoppix flawlessly as a guest under Windows XP VMWare workstation. I haven't
been able to get "woody" to work with VMWare, but there aren't any issues at
all with Knoppix.
