My understanding of this is as follows: Fat 16 had a 2 gig limit on the size of partitionsFat 32 had a 2 gig limit on the size of individual files when working on IDE drives. (but the partitions could be much larger.)
About the only place you run into this is working with AVI files. The solution to this problem being to use SCSI drives for video editing work (under windows.)
