hahaha... ehehe....eh... oh wait, it's not april 1st... who is this fool? cigroup or anupam don't seem to have much presence on the net, unless he's a (former?) student at rutgers and has his page at http://remus.rutgers.edu/~aanand/ (nah, heh) more seriously though, i really haven't been following this whole EU software patent thing as closely as i should have. i'd like to hope that there are some sane minded people in charge, but i guess it wouldn't be any different from here if there weren't. if this guy is serious, better get in touch with the EFF. I don't think this guy would be able to hold up in court for even a second if you could get that kind of firepower--and they might save you a trip to the poor house to boot. I can't say i know anyone there personally, but i get the suspicioun that they'd love to have a case like this because it'd be so easy to set a precedent in a very all-encompassing Our favor. sean On Tue, May 13, 2003 at 10:20:31PM +0200, Klaus Knopper wrote: > ----- Forwarded message from CI Group <cigroup@lycos.co.uk> ----- > Date: Tue, 13 May 2003 12:36:09 -0700 > From: CI Group <cigroup@lycos.co.uk> > Subject: patent infringement > > hello there, > > your knoppix-customize project is infringing a pending patent. it is > requested of you to take it offline and inform the developers of this > infringement to prevent any future clashes in court. > > thank you > sincerely, > ANUPAM ANAND > - ----- End forwarded message ----- > _______________________________________________ > debian-knoppix mailing list > debian-knoppix@linuxtag.org > http://mailman.linuxtag.org/mailman/listinfo/debian-knoppix
