[debian-knoppix] Knoppix finding 2.4.19-xfs modules
Hey group:
I have been remastering various KNOPPIX.iso recently. I am
now seeing a strange problem at boottime. modprobe is
requesting 2.4.19-xfs modules on a 2.4.20-XFS
Knoppix system.
I have a spare hdb1 6 3.5G partition. It is a copy of
KNOPPIX_V3.1-2003-01-20-EN.iso. /dev/hdb1 is a copy of the
previouly mentioned Knoppix CD. (cp -Rp KNOPPIX/*
/mnt/hdb1). As a test, I did a mkisofs,
create_compressed_fs copy of the source CD with no
modifications.
I burned a newly made CD.iso (cdrecord -v fs=6m -eject
speed=24 dev=0,1,0 file.iso).
Rebooted it and just after the "INIT version 2.78" screen
display I now get
"modprobe: modprobe: Can not find /lib/modules/2.4.19-xfs"
error.
All files are 2.4.20-xfs.
Anyone have a clue as to where this error can be coming
from.
PS I created a link /lib/modules/2.4.19-xfs to 2.4.20-xfs
rebooted and now I see a note stating the kernel is a 2.4.19
and the modules are a 2.4.20.
