Re: [debian-knoppix] Possible way to use larger kernels
Well, if there is really no other CD boot method,
maybe it would not be so bad to suggest using a
DOS boot image with a CDROM driver and loadlin,
which will then boot a linux kernel located on the
main part of the CD ...?

even possible to make the kernel fit on a floppy. So,
stuff will either have to be left out of the kernel,
people with old hardware forgotten about, or another
way of making a boot floppy. That's what I'm talking
about -- whether it would be possible to create a boot
floppy that loads a cd driver, then loads the boot
image (whether it uses floppy, hard drive, or no
emulation) that is on the cd.
