PROBLEM DESC.........
Debian 13 + win 10
I was on firefox and started WhatsApp web. Started with 6.6gb/12 ram.
Just opened a video and screen froze.(ram full. happened to me before. How this time happened no idea)
I waited for a minute and as usual I restarted. Just let it boot into windows and it was just stuck at the logging into screen.
Then reboot and showed me the grub commands screen.
Could not find any bootable partition.
Tried a win10 dvd for rescue. Nothing works.
Finally tried a debian live.
Showed me empty skeleton partitions mounted to /run.
Could not access them.
Then tried testdisk and it probably made worse.
Partition recovery cracked the previous LUKS os Partition into mini luks and btrfs part, made an unallocated space crack in between.
And my storage and windows partition disappeared.
WHAT HAPPENED AND WHY?
AND I WAS JUST GOING TO BACKUP..........
I backed up mini LUKS part, recreated the os part and reapplied LUKS backup.
now just able to login later with efi recovery.
any help for btrfs recovery?
