I removed the old files now, so with the next mirror sync that copy
should be gone.
Regarding the redirect topic:
What about listing this manual on d.o/doc/manuals in the devel manuals
section, separated from the others, with a note, that it's stored externally?
With a one-liner like this:
diff --git a/english/doc/index.wml b/english/doc/index.wml
index ce4474c7607..a2c26674a1e 100644
--- a/english/doc/index.wml
+++ b/english/doc/index.wml
