Dear Maintainer(s),

I recently picked up a new ThinkPad P16 Gen2. It goes to sleep (suspends to RAM) fine on Windows. On Linux, it tries, but fails: the power light pulses, but all other activity remains the same (fans continue to spin, session doesn't lock, etc).

I've tried the following:

* Checking for updates to the UEFI firmware (there are none; it's up-to-date)
* Checking for power management options in the UEFI firmware (there are very few, basically just the ability to turn Intel SpeedStep on/off)
* Upgrading from Bookworm, to bookworm-backports, to Trixie
* Various kernel parameters (acpi_osi=Linux, acpi_osi='Windows 2022', acpi_osi='Windows 10', acpi=strict, noapic, etc.)
* An Ubuntu live image
* Compiling my own 6.8.9 kernel

Nothing has helped, so I am opening this bug report. I've attached:

* systemspecs.txt, a more detailed human-readable version of my system hardware
* lspci.txt, the output of lspci -vnn
* dmesg.txt, what happens when I try to suspend to RAM, then resume

- the current version in unstable/testing
