Dear Maintainer,

Suspend does not complete on Latitude E6500.
>From Fn+F1, mate menu, power-button, or lid:
Display goes fully dark, but fan stays on and power LED does not pulse.
Must hold power button in to shut off & then reboot.

Shutdown from menu does not complete either: bare graphical Debian
display remains, fan stays on.

Tested with Live system:
http://cdimage.debian.org/images/weekly-live-builds/amd64/iso-hybrid/debian-live-testing-amd64-mate.iso
Last-Modified: Mon, 28 Jun 2021 04:06:51 GMT
Content-Length: 2583691264

Have tried numerous other live/testing systems and all fail

Debian 8 suspend/resume and poweroff have been long-term reliable on
this hardware by means of Fn+F1, or Mate System menu.

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
