Version: 6.9.11-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When using 6.9.10 or older, the initrd is 3x bigger. In 6.9.9, the size of the initrd is ~80M. From 6.9.10, it is ~250M. Is this on purpose?

This plays poorly with the default /boot size, that ~5 years ago when I installed this, it was ~250M.

I can reduce the size, to even better than before, if I add this file
/etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/initrd-rata with:

	MODULES=dep

With this, the initrd is ~30M and it works fine with the size of the /boot partition.

Has the initrd increased so much in a kernel patch release on purpose? In the changelog for 6.9.10 I didn't find it (https://tracker.debian.org/news/1546334/accepted-linux-signed-amd64-69101-source-into-unstable/), but maybe I'm missing something?

Best,
Rodrigo
