Bug#1079150: cryptsetup: Waiting for encrypted source device

Hi,

I am experimenting the exact same bug since this morning (I have been fighting against it since then).

As said, I updated the system and I got locked out of my file-system because the system was not able to find the encrypted partition.

I attach a picture of the error logs to better figure out what is going wrong.

I also updated one of my laptop with a quite similar result (except that I did not dropped the old kernel and was still able to boot on it with the old kernel).

The difference is that my laptop is using an hardware encryption and not LVM and LUKS as my desktop.

Back to my desktop, I managed to boot on an USB key and get access to the encrypted volume without any problem from the rescue mode of the key.

Strangely, it seems that /dev/mapper is not mounted for some reasons (and so is /dev/mapper/sda3_crypt).

I am running out of ideas to solve the problem as once stuck at the initramfs prompt my keyboard is not working and everything is stuck... So, I have absolutely no idea of what is going on when the bug occurs.

I someone find a way to workaround this nasty bug, I would be extremely pleased to know about.

Regards
