Since filing the above report, I have been using the 6.1.0-12
(6.1.0-12-rt) kernel [version 6.1.52-1], on which the system displays on
both monitors.
This morning I booted the computer and the system was only displaying on
one monitor. I checked physical connections and apt update log since
the last time I used the computer. I could not see anything obvious to
explain why I was only getting one monitor.
As an extreme measure, I reinstalled Debian, formatting / and /swap
partitions but keeping /home.
The system rebooted into 6.1.0-13 [version 6.1.55-1], which displayed on
both monitors and is expected behaviour.
I'm guessing the problem lies elsewhere so please feel free to close the
bug.
